Retreats, Workshops, Psychotherapy, Counselling
and Inspired Coaching.

Each of the practices offered, from walking retreats & workshops, to the coaching & *psychotherapy offer an opportunity to explore who we truly are in the present moment, and how we relate to ourself and others. The intention of the inquiry is to bring us into greater alignment with our natural condition. The walking retreats are new to 2008 and will be held in East Sussex and Snowdonia.
These bring together two of lifes most wonderful resources, the great expanse and beauty of the natural world and movement of health and energy with our human body. We will integrate practices such as sky gazing meditation, taoist movement practices, meditation, and on the Snowdonia 5 day walk, an opportunity to spend one night alone on as part of a vision quest. For more information on the walking retreats see the programme page.
In this work we are engaged in a depth healing process where a deep awareness of body, feelings and our state of mind are used to explore our unique gifts in life.It is a process where our true nature becomes available, allowing clarity, insight and compassion to arise.
To open a deeper inquiry about our life we often have to step out of the known familiar routes and dare to follow the deep longings of the heart. The essence of this inquiry is how to live well in the present moment and really appreciate your life.
By learning to appreciate our lives, we can see that this life is a wonderful gift, and by truly seeing and feeling that deeply, we are able to be at ease with who we are and how we express ourselves in the world. . By using some simple and practical exercises, we can bring more clarity, wisdom and happiness into our life.
To follow this path is at once the most wonderful thing we can do in our life, but also the most challenging. First of all we have to challenge the beliefs we have about ourselves, challenge the beliefs others have about us, and be able to be brave enough to look at all aspects of our experience of who we think we are.
This can mean having to face the parts of ourself we most push away, the aspects of ourselves that we have rejected and pushed into the shadow. When these aspects of the self arise, this can be a very powerful tool for deep transformation, we no longer run from ourself, this becomes the wisdom of no escape.
This brings to awareness our past conditioning, our habitual patterns and tendencies and how these can block our vast potential for wisdom and compassion. These patterns can be very powerful and can arise again and again as the wheel of life shows us. These patterns are different for everyone, for some they are more intense than others, of course this is dependent on our life’s experiences. However, even whilst these patterns arise, there is always an opportunity to bring more awareness and clarity into our lives.
To be fully present to both the suffering and the joy, is to take the power back, and realise you hold the keys to your own potential. This process can help you to find happiness, joy and magic in your life, so try out some of the exercises and follow the way, which is none other than your own life unfolding in each and every moment.
As the great Zen master Dogen said:
To know yourself, is to forget your self.
To forget your self, is to be awakened by all things.
In many ways the process is very simple and straightforward and one doesn’t have to believe or have any philosophy to gain benefit from the practice, just willing to be open minded. The practices involved have been tried and tested for thousands of years, by human beings just like us, who also wanted to find happiness and joy in their lives.
By being aware of the unique wisdom and perspective each of us embody, the process allows each person to tap into that potential and as they do there is a release of vast amounts of energy to truly find your gift.
This inquiry is offered as individual sessions, group sessions, workshops and for businesses who want to be at their very best and support the growth and empowerment of each other.
