Tigers Nest was founded in Sussex in 2004.
The intention of Tiger´s Nest is to provide retreats, workshops, healing and therapy in whatever form is most suitable for the present moment.
We run our events mainly in Sussex, but also in Snowdonia and other parts of the UK, where people from all walks of life can come together to learn and share with each other, their own unique experiences. We provide a space where people can gain wisdom and compassion from a joint enquiry into some of the most fundamental aspects of Human existence.
Named after a famous Buddhist monastery in Bhutan, Tigers nest is initially inspired by the profound and beautiful teachings of Mahamudra and Dzogchen (Great perfection) teachings from Tibet, as well as any teachings that incorporate an integral practice to our lives, working with Body, Speech, Mind and Spirit.
We live at a critical time in our history of life on planet Earth. We believe that by bringing together the wisdom of indigenous people, contemporary teachers, leaders, people and children from around the world, and from all areas of society, that together we can face the challenges we will all face.
Through an enquiry of awareness, social action, creative expression, meditation practices and environmental awareness we can start to come into deeper contact with this place of wisdom. The intention is to live in harmony with our selves and the world around us, creating a place that will be of benefit to as many people as possible.
"Only through Inner peace can we bring about world peace."
